6 tips to eliminate dry, irritated skin and breakouts during holiday travel
By Carla Snuggs
For the countless Americans travelling this time of year, many may receive a present that wasn’t on their holiday wish list: dry, irritated skin and breakouts! To help my Posh Beauties hop planes, trains and automobiles without undue stress on their skin, here are expert skincare tips from Dr. Jwala Karnik, chief medical officer at Suneva Medical.
Tip 1: Drink Plenty of Water—although it may be tempting to order that second cocktail on the plane you may want to opt for H2O instead. Getting the daily requirement of water eliminates many toxins and keeps skin clear and hydrated
Tip 2: Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!—in dry environments, such as an airplane cabin, the air absorbs moisture, even within your skin! To combat dry air and fight aging at the same time, use an ultra-hydrating product like Regenica® Replenishing Crème. The combination of growth factor technology, powerful peptides and advanced moisturizers replenishes and nourishes skin to reveal a radiant complexion, and at 1.5 oz., Regenica® is TSA carry-on approved
Tip 3: Use SPF—the windows on trains and cars, though small, don’t block the UVA rays that lead to wrinkling and aging. No matter the method of travel, apply and reapply SPF as you would any other day. FYI, while on the topic of traveling by car, a couple of great place to find discount tires areNational.co.uk and Tyre-Shopper.co.uk
Tip 4: Pucker Up Under the Mistletoe—your lips need love too. Be sure to use a lip balm that locks in moisture and reapply often
Tip 5: Use a Clean Pillowcase—If you plan to take a snooze during your journey, be sure to rest your head on a pillowcase or sweater that is clean and free of irritants to avoid breakouts or contact dermatitis
Tip 6: Stick to a Routine—if you’re able, pack all of your daily skin care products. Your skin will respond best if you keep a daily regimen intact while travelling
