Review for the 5-in-1 master tool Rowenta Beauty Versa Style Iron
By
Carla Snuggs

Rowenta Beauty has launched a line of brand new professional, salon-quality hair tools. Today, Posh Beauty Blog is bringing you a step-by-step tutorial for using the Versa Style Iron. The tutorial is by Josue Perez*, Celebrity Stylist at Serge Normant at John Frieda in NYC. With Josue’s tips and the Rowenta Versa Style Iron, you’ll be able to style your hair like you jumped out of his celeb-adorned chair!

What it is:
The 5-in-1 master tool, Versa Style Iron, achieves the results of five salon tools: a flat iron, roller set, and three curling irons in just one, easy to use tool. The iron features exclusive ProCurling™ technology, complete with rounded rubber edges to curl, wave or create incredible root lift while the ceramic-coated, tourmaline-boosted plates deliver long lasting shine.

How to Use it

Why I love it

  • Ever since I received my Versa Style Iron, I’ve barely touched my Chi flat iron or my best curling iron for fine hair because the Versa Style Iron does it all."

  • When you use the Versa Style Iron, you will notice it has curved edges (ProCurling Technology) so you get soft friction and a soft grip that you can easily control.

  • The Versa Style Iron is perfect for traveling. Spring break and summer festivals are right around the corner. When you’re on the go, there’s no need to bring your flat iron, curling iron and flexirods, just bring your Versa Style Iron. Plus it comes with a heat resistant pouch to store it in.

  • I love the LCD screen as it accurately displays the temperature selection, and you can adjust the temperature from 260°F to 400°F.

  • When using the Versa Style Iron on human hair extensions or on synthetic hair, as I have, you can simply adjust the Versa Style Iron to a lower heat or the temperature recommended for the type of hair you’re using.

Revive hair color without visiting the salon‏
By Carla Snuggs

Sienna Miller Red Hair.jpg

First blonde, then rose gold and now red: It seems Sienna Miller has been having some fun changing up her hair color. Red is one of the toughest colors to keep vibrant since it fades the fastest, but you can keep your red striking with a little help from Eufora's Beautifying Elixir's Color Revive Radiant Red.

What it is: Color Revive is a weekly color refresher for hair that helps keep it vibrant between color sessions. Color Revive can be added to your favorite conditioner or hair mask. This means you don't have to change up your current routine. So, you can keep using your preferred products and you don’t have to purchase additional conditioning treatments. And, best of all, Color Revive contains ZERO ammonia and peroxide, which can damage hair.

How to: Just add 2-4 pumps to your conditioner or masque of choice, leave on for 5-10 minutes and rinse. That’s it!

Tips: Eufora’s Color Revive can be used on natural hair as well, so for those that want to consider going red like Sienna, but are scared of committing, this is the perfect way to find out if another color suites you. Not a redhead? Eufora’s Color Revive also comes in Brilliant Blonde and Bold Brunette!

2 runway hairstyles you can do in under 5 minutes each
By Carla Snuggs

Everyone runs late in the morning every once in again, but that doesn't mean you have to look like you just rolled out of bed. You can look runway ready in just under 5 minutes! Here are two top Spring 2014 hair trends seen on the runway with tips to recreate them from Warren-Tricomi’s co-owner and master hair stylist, Edward Tricomi. 5 minutes and you're our the door!

THE LOOK:  TOUSELED FRENCH BRAIDS

SEEN AT: Rachel Zoe, Nicole Miller
Running late for work? Utilize your hair’s natural texture with an effortlessly cool braid.

Get the look: Don’t fret - Edward Tricomi recommends working L’Oreal Professionnel Mousse Volupte ($22.50, LPSalons.com) from roots to ends to create volume and texture

Step 1: Rough dry and finger comb – don’t use a brush

Step 2:  Starting at the crown, loosely braid hair, getting tighter as you work down through the lengths and ends of the hair.  “The more unkempt, the better,” says Tricomi

Step 3:  Rub hands over braid to create friction and texture

Step 4:   Pull hair at nape of neck and braid to loosen

Step 5: Finish with L’Oreal Professionnel Infinium 2 hairspray ($24.50, LPSalons.com)

THE LOOK: SECURED PONYTAIL

SEEN AT: Vera Wang, Victoria Beckham

The classically sporty ponytail feels refreshed when accessorized with a basic headband for a simple, casual glamour look.

Step 1:  Start with freshly blown out hair and gather hair about one inch from the neck into a low pony.

Step 2:  Secure ponytail with an elastic

Step 3:  Place headband over the head and pull ponytail halfway through to create a small bun

Step 4: Leave the ends of hair out

Step 5:  Finish with L’Oreal Professionnel Infinium 2 hairspray ($24.50, LPSalons.com) to flatten any flyaways

For an alternative headband, Edward suggests cutting off the legs of old tights and wrap around the hair. Use any color for a playful look
