Posh Beauty Blog recommends Dansko and Bootights
By Carla Snuggs
While I love beauty and lifestyle products, I have been exploring fashion brands and focusing on building a great wardrobe for fall and winter. So with that in mind, let me introduce you to two fashion brands I am falling in love with: Dansko and Bootights. I’ve been waiting for a while now for cooler temps in Southern California and I’m so excited Mother Nature has finally delivered. I am loving looks that combine two of my fashion faves: comfy boots and tights.
Leading footwear brand Dansko is known for providing all-day comfort and support and has A-list celebrity fans such as Julia Roberts and Heidi Klum. I fell in love with The Odette boot – it’s the ultimate fall boot that offers comfort without sacrificing the fashion. I have been enjoying the The Odette boot paired with dresses, jeans and leggings. Below I have paired The Odette Boot in Brown Nappa Leather with a dress from Sunday in Brooklyn.
I’m really loving Bootights. Socks + Tights = Bootights® - Brilliant! Oprah called Bootights "revolutionary” - they’re the first and only tights designed especially for boots. A pair of Bootights are a pair of premium tights attached to a moisture-wicking performance sock. My Bootights make my legs look amazing, plus my feet stay warm and comfy. With tights, you risk the chance of them snagging on your boots, so you never have to ruin another pair of tights or pantyhose again. Bootights come in so many chic colors. They’re fabulous paired with Dansko’s Ames boot in black antiqued calf leather as shown below.
Forecasted on all the Winter 2015 runways is the hot “military” styling trend. The Ames boot achieves the militaristic look with the comfort and biomechanical correctness of a typical Dansko shoe. So you get the on-trend block heel plus rich, hand-antiqued leather uppers and built-in arch support and cushioning. Looks good and feels even better.
