CBD is everywhere and everyone is singing its praises, so I started creating CBD guides regularly so you can learn all about CBD, its benefits, and some of the products you may want to try.
Ron Roberts of CBDtop10.com answered the following questions for Posh Beauty Blog.
What are the best ways to take it?
The best way to take CBD depends on the urgency and type of need and if taken orally, one's taste preferences. The fastest effects are achieved by vaping a CBD e-liquid in a vape pen cartridge. Next fastest, and most common method, is to take a small amount of CBD oil sublingually. Fast-acting softgels are available from many CBD manufacturers. A growing list of CBD-infused edibles can be found in the form of gummy candies, trail mix, chocolates, and powders and tinctures to be mixed into drinks or food dishes. For external use, there are many creams, salves and balms made to address different goals, including pain, inflammation, and skin care.
CBD oils tend to have a strong grass-like taste, which some people find unpleasant. In that case, flavored oils from some manufacturers override the taste, and the gel capsules, of course, have no taste.
Are there any risks to taking it?
Risks of taking CBD are minimal. Some studies and some comments by CBD manufacturers raise the possibility of diarrhea, dry mouth, low blood pressure, and drowsiness, but most manufacturers and user reports claim no significant side effects. Anecdotally, our review team consisting of half a dozen people has not experienced any of the reported side effects to date.
