Holiday Wine and Spirits Guide

Enjoy these festive wines and spirits for your holiday party or as a hostess gift
By Carla Snuggs

Christmas and New Years festivities are here! Whether you’re hosting a holiday soiree or attending a holiday party, a special bottle of wine or spirits adds a wonderful, festive, thoughtful touch! Posh Beauty is sharing some of it’s favorite holiday wine and spirits across all price points.

Bodegas Franco Espanolas Bordon Reserva (Rioja, Spain)

Made by one of Rioja’s 6 most historic estates, this Reservais a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Mazuelo. Franco Espanolas ages its Reserva at least 24 months in American oak followed by a minimum of 24 monthsof bottle-aging before releasing it. This very elegant wine has notes ofraspberry, plum, balsamic and spices. The Bordon Reserva has a very long finish with many layers of flavors. Shop: Riojabordon.francoespanolas.com

Trinchero Napa Valley Mario’s Carbernet Sauvignon

Four single vineyard Napa Valley Cabernets—there's no other place to be to celebrate National Cabernet Day. Cheers!

Trinchero Napa Valley offers something truly notable for the holidays. The Trinchero family has been producing award-winning wine since the 1940’s and their name sake brand reflects only the very best. Named in tribute of founder Mario Trinchero, this elegant wine is a superb choice when honoring family tradition and lineage. My fave: Mario Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Ransom Gewurztraminer Grappa

Have you tried Ransom's Gewurztraminer Grappa? It's amazing as a caffe corretto (Italian for corrected coffee - espresso and grappa - it's incredible), or as an after dinner sipper. Ransom's grappa is made using a wet pomace, so the resulting grappa is juicy, sweet, and not at all astringent. Great for warming up around the holidays.

Prosecco and Sparking White Wines

Enjoying delicious and organic wine selections for the holidays are amazing, especially for those having eco-friendly feasts. The wines from in Natural Merchant’s portfolio are imported from small family farmers in Europe. They are made with 100% USDA certified organically grown grapes, and many have no sulfites added and carry the organic seal on the label. All of the wines are vegan-friendly (Pizzolato wines are Certified Vegan by the Vegan Society of the UK), using no animal byproducts in processing, and all are Non-GMO Project Verified. And best of all, you can get them at Whole Foods. Try:

Pizzolato Fields Prosecco: This brut prosecco is a wonderful, dry choice

Tarantas Sparkling White: a slightly sweet and delicious value option

Holman Ranch Rose of Pinot Noir

I loved putting this together. My favorite primal "meal" to prepare when you don't have a stove - cheese and charcuterie board paired with @holmanranch Rose of Pinot Noir 🍷 . . #gratitude #loa #selfies #canada #winery #wine #winelovers #travel #love #travelbloggers #instainspiration #inspirationalquotes #womanpower #womeninbusiness #womenempowerment #womenentrepreneurs #womenempoweringwomen #inspiring #motivation #motivational #smallbusiness #entrepreneur #entrepreneurlife #quotes # #holmanranch #carmel

Holman Ranch released their 2015 Rosé of Pinot Noir this year and it’s my absolute fave rose for the holidays. Whisps of strawberry and summer watermelon tickle the nose, while the bright and dry finish lingers on and on. Their 'Blushing Bride" is perfect for your holiday celebration, sipping it girlfriends or enjoying it with your favorite meal.

Hooch

New Years Eve drinks on us!! 😊 #HOOCH

Hooch is the first monthly cocktail subscription app that buys members a drink a day every day, so not only is a great way to taste amazing holiday drinks around your city, but it makes a great holiday gift. Here’s how it works - you pay $9.99 a month, and every day, you head to one of the partner bars on the Hooch list and get a delish craft cocktail without paying another dime. So you get 30 drinks each month for the price of one! HOOCH is already available in cities like NYC, LA and Hong Kong. See if Hooch is available in your city!
