Fall Beauty & Wellness Tips
Moisturize and exfoliate your skin regularly. The air is drier in the fall, so it's important to keep your skin hydrated. Use a moisturizer that is appropriate for your skin type, and apply it twice a day. Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells and reveal the brighter, smoother skin underneath. Exfoliate two to three times per week using a gentle exfoliator.
Protect your skin from the sun. The sun's harmful UV rays can damage your skin year-round, even on cloudy days. Be sure to wear sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day, even in the fall.
Use lip balm. Your lips can also become dry and chapped in the fall. Use a lip balm with SPF protection to keep them hydrated and protected.
Take care of your hair. The cooler weather can also dry out your hair. Use a moisturizing conditioner and hair mask regularly to keep your hair healthy and hydrated.
Eat a healthy diet. Eating a healthy diet is important for overall health and well-being, but it's especially important in the fall when your body is preparing for the winter months. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains to get the vitamins and minerals you need.
Exercise regularly. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week. Exercise helps to boost your immune system, reduce stress, and improve your mood.
Get enough sleep. Most adults need around 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Getting enough sleep helps your body to rest and repair itself.
Manage stress. Stress can weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to illness. Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as exercise, yoga, or meditation.
