The best summer moisturizers for face and body

Summer is just about over and the weather may have wreaked havoc on your skin. And if you're in Southern California, like I am, there's a LOT more summer left. Have you been using the right moisturizers this season in preparation for fall? Posh Beauty Blog received some excellent skincare tips on this very topic from “Mompreneur,” Celebrity Waxologist & Esthetician and founder of Stript Wax Bar, Katherine Goldman. “It is important to choose the correct moisturizer for the skin during each season.  The skin has much different needs during summer than it does during winter. Sun, sand and heat can make skin dry and dull as well as more oily,” says Katherine.

Here are some of Katherine's simple tips for choosing end of summer moisturizers:

• If you choose a moisturizer that is too thick or rich it can make skin appear greasy and lead to clogged pores and breakouts. 
• Use a different moisturizer on your body as these can richer than the ones used on your face.
• Look for products that hydrate the skin and replace moisture loss and that contain hyaluronic acid.  This ingredient binds water molecules 1000 times its weight and infuses into the skin, allowing skin to be hydrated.
• For the body, look for ingredients such as aloe vera which soothe, moisturize and calm the skin.  This can aloe be helpful if you've had a day with too much sun!
