Sebamed Hand and Nail Balm Review

Review of Sebamed Hand and Nail Balm
By: Carla Snuggs

I already swear by Sebamed Olive Face & Body Wash, so when I received Sebamed Hand and Nail Balm for review, I was very excited. Harsh winter weather can wreak havoc on the skin and absolutely hate having dry, ashy, wrinkly hands. Also, my nails have become a bit brittle and have been chipping like crazy. So, I was more than happy to try Sebamed Hand and Nail balm and give my thirsty hands a bit of TLC.

About Sebamed Hand and Nail Balm
What it is and what it does (according to Sebamed): Developed by dermatologists, this mild, deep-moisturizing hand and nail balm relieves dry, chapped skin and naturally strengthens nails to prevent breakage. Non-greasy and rapidly absorbed, it is enriched with allantoin and Vitamin B5 to support skin's natural health. Keratin in the formula increases nails’ natural firmness and elasticity.

Infused with a variety of moisturizers including coconut oil and Vitamin B5, Sebamed Hand and Nail Balm hydrates the skin and fortifies its acid mantle to maintain a healthy moisture level. Allantoin and panthenol (Vitamin B5) support skin regeneration, while keratin strengthens the nails. The balm employs sodium citrate to stabilize the acid mantle and restore the skin to a healthy 5.5 pH, which helps to ward off harmful bacteria and fungi that cannot tolerate an acidic pH value. As a result, skin retains its natural moisture, displaces foreign toxins, and remains healthy and smooth.

The Results/Why I Love it

  • Sebamed Hand and Nail Balm is hypoallergenic, paraben-free, gluten-free, biodegradable and cruelty free which always makes me (and my skin) happy.
  • It’s the perfect multitasker, so while I’m moisturizing my hands and restoring it to its proper pH balance, I’m getting keratin for my nails to help make them stronger, and without the greasy feel of many hand creams.
  • I use Sebamed Olive Face & Body Wash to help reduce the flakiness, redness and bumps from eczema, and this product is great for this as well as I tend to get eczema on my hands.
  • After using Sebamed Hand and Nail Balm for about 10 days, my nails were growing stronger and I’ve had no breakage since using it.
