A night out can mean so many things for you; dancing to good music, being in the company of friends and alcohol to give you the Dutch courage you need for any other thing that comes your way. Definitely, you cannot party without alcohol, it’s like the inspiration you need to keep the party grooving. But one too many bottles of alcohol can send you to bed early or even the hospital bed. Drinking is simple, not rocket science. Too much of it won’t make you stay healthy, you need to consume less of it to be on the safer side of the alcohol gods.

Pro drinkers won’t probably get sick from drinking, but as a newbie you can adopt any of the scientifically proven methods to avoid vomiting and irritating hangovers. Let’s check out this measures to wade off sickness.

Drink and Drink Water

Dehydration is the major cause of headache and the hangover you have out of drinking. You can, however, avoid this problem by downing lots of water with every drink you take. In essence, drink more water than alcohol. You may even take juice or soft drinks but avoid carbonated drinks. After a night of drinking, take a glass of water before retiring to bed.

Drink at Steady Pace

Just pace and space your drinking, you should also learn to pace around. Drinking may not make you sick, but excessive drinking will try to squeeze the life out of you. Follow this rule of thumb; one alcoholic drink every hour. Don’t be in competition with anyone, you will be left out of the race, but that is better than left at the drinking pub after vomiting. Whenever you feel you are behind the group in a number of bottles, alternate it with soft drinks.

You may not be getting sick due to excessive drinking but the existence of other health issues. You may even be a sensible drinker and you still get sick from drinking, that’s a sign of other existing conditions reacting with alcohol. Your body system may be allergic to an ingredient in your favorite drink that makes you sick. It may even be a mild allergy to an ingredient in your drink. Eat Before or During Drinking

Your body will react badly to alcohol if you drink on an empty stomach, don’t even attempt it. It’s a one-way ticket to the physician. Eating will help lower the harmful effect alcohol does to your intestines. With a good meal before drinking, there will be a slow rate of takeover by alcohol. The best option is to go with carbohydrates, such as rice, bread or pasta, you may eat fatty foods also, as this limit the rate of intoxication. Avoid salty foods served in the bar, they tend to make you thirsty.
